A new atomic model is taking shape

There is matter brewing.

The Fold Hypothesis by worldFURY is in the oven: a new speculative atomic model beginning from the behavior of established matter, the relationships between particles, and the larger physical structures those relationships may produce.

This project shares conceptual roots with The Fracture Hypothesis, but it begins a new line of investigation. The focus is moving inward: toward atomic identity, compatibility, structure, persistence, and the physical meaning of matter occupying space together.

The working direction: matter may be more than a collection of pieces held together by external rules. The Fold Hypothesis will explore whether atomic structure can be read as an active, relational organization of established physical identities.

The Fold Hypothesis is just beginning.

The first stage is now secure: the project has a safe, hosted public space through the worldFURY platform. That gives the model room to develop carefully without needing to rush its definitions, diagrams, notation, or conclusions.

Early work will focus on establishing the atomic vocabulary of the hypothesis, separating useful physical propositions from metaphor, and building a readable progression from particle-scale relationships into atoms, bodies of matter, and larger shared centers of mass.

The Fracture Hypothesis began with distinction: the idea that physical readability starts when something becomes definable in relation to something else.

The Fold Hypothesis carries that relational instinct into matter itself. Rather than beginning with the universe as a whole, it asks how established particles retain identity, interact without simply becoming one another, form compatible atomic structures, and participate in increasingly large shared physical arrangements.

The model is not presented as established science. It is a public working hypothesis that will be sharpened through logic, mathematics, comparison, criticism, and revision as the atomic framework develops.

Define what it means for a particle to remain itself while expressing position, approach, resistance, compatibility, and relation to other established bodies.

02 / STRUCTURE Atomic compatibility

Develop the proposed conditions by which particle identities can occupy a stable shared structure without collapsing into a single undifferentiated object.

03 / SCALE Matter becoming body

Follow the same relational behavior outward from particles to atoms, from atoms to material bodies, and from bodies toward increasingly large shared centers of mass.
